THE HUB BENGALURUEffective 23 September 2026

    Privacy Policy

How The Hub Bengaluru collects, uses, stores and shares personal information from this website, its application forms and its programmes.

    In short

We collect only what we need to answer you, assess applications and run programmes. We do not sell personal information. You can ask us at any time for a copy of your data or for it to be deleted.

    1. Who this covers

This policy applies to The Hub Bengaluru (“THB”, “we”, “us”) and to everyone who visits thehubbengaluru.com, submits a form on it, applies to a residency or programme, attends an event, stays in our spaces, or contacts us by email.

    2. What we collect

We collect three kinds of information.

    • Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, city, links you choose to share (portfolio, LinkedIn, social profiles), and the written answers you submit in an application, enquiry, partnership request, press request or job application.
    • Information created by taking part. Application status, correspondence with our team, programme or stay dates, invoices and payment references, and notes our team records while assessing an application or hosting you.
    • Information collected automatically. Pages visited, referring links, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and time on page. This is collected through privacy-conscious analytics and is used in aggregate.

We do not ask for government identity numbers, health data, caste, religion, or financial account details through this website. If a programme genuinely requires a document of that kind, we will ask for it separately, explain why, and delete it once its purpose ends.

    3. Why we use it

    • To reply to an enquiry and continue a conversation you started.
    • To assess an application, arrange conversations, and tell you the outcome.
    • To run a residency, stay, event, tuition or programme you have joined, including safety, access and billing.
    • To send transactional email you have asked for — application links, confirmations and reminders.
    • To send updates or a newsletter, only where you have opted in, with an unsubscribe link in every message.
    • To understand how the site is used and improve it.
    • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to protect people and property from harm or misuse.

We do not sell personal information, we do not rent mailing lists, and we do not use your application answers for advertising.

    5. Who else can see it

Your information is visible to the small THB team members who need it for the purpose you shared it. We also use service providers who process data on our instructions:

    • Hosting, database and serverless infrastructure for the website and its application systems.
    • Notion, where applications, leads and programme records are stored in private workspaces with controlled access.
    • Email delivery providers, used to send transactional and opted-in messages.
    • Analytics, used in aggregate to understand site usage.
    • Payment processors, where a programme or stay involves payment. Card details are handled by the processor, not by us.

We share information with these providers only to the extent needed, and we require them to keep it confidential. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or where it is necessary to prevent serious harm.

    6. Where it is stored and for how long

Data is stored on managed infrastructure that may be located outside India, including in the Asia-Pacific region, and is protected by access controls, encryption in transit, and role-based permissions.

    • Enquiries and unsuccessful applications: kept up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised.
    • Programme, residency and stay records: kept for the duration of the engagement and for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
    • Newsletter subscriptions: kept until you unsubscribe.
    • Application access links: expire seven days after they are issued.
    • Aggregate analytics: retained indefinitely in a form that does not identify you.

    7. Your rights

Write to growth@thehubbengaluru.com and you can ask us to:

    • Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
    • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
    • Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
    • Stop sending you marketing or newsletter email.
    • Withdraw consent you previously gave, without affecting what was done before you withdrew it.

We answer requests within 30 days. If we cannot do what you asked, we will tell you why.

    8. Children

This website is not directed at children under 18. Programmes that involve people under 18, such as tuitions, are arranged with a parent or guardian, and information for them is collected from that adult.

    9. Changes and contact

If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page, and tell people directly when a change materially affects them. Questions, requests and complaints go to growth@thehubbengaluru.com. The Hub is online-first, born in Bengaluru in 2016, now wherever you are.

    Talk to a person

Anything unclear, or anything you want changed about your own information, goes to growth@thehubbengaluru.com. A human replies.
