Culture OS The Hub Bengaluru

A decade of building people.

The Hub Bengaluru

01 / 24

Where it starts

Most places are built around what people have done.

The Hub has always been built around who people actually are.

Not the polished version. The real one.

We bring out the real person the world tries so hard to tame.

02 / 24

The framework

One flywheel.
One framework.

Team. Members. Residents. Partners. Alumni. Community.

Not separate systems with separate standards. The same belief in who people can become, applied to everyone in the ecosystem.

That's not a value statement. That's an architectural decision.

How we find people

We don't post on job boards.

Because the people we're looking for don't go there anyway. Others call our hiring their marketing campaigns...

There's personal outreach. Instagram campaigns. When we needed a Chief Pet Officer, we made a green screen reel.

The way a place finds its people says everything about what it believes about people.

Zero bullshit. Non-traditional by design. Hire fast. Graduate with care.

04 / 24

Day one

Day one doesn't look like onboarding.

People don't get a handbook. They get mentors.

They receive before they're asked to give. They're seen before they're assessed.

High integrity. High agency. Not concepts, but things absorbed by watching how this place behaves when no one is watching.

Belonging before accountability. That's where everything starts.

05 / 24

The method

We bet on people for a living.

We choose intention + intensity over talent, 100 out of 100 times.

They're trusted with something real to build. A media IP. A channel. A community. A vertical. Whatever they're drawn to: a real piece of the ecosystem to own and develop.

Because the fastest way to build people is to put something real in their hands and let them figure it out alongside others doing the same.

06 / 24

The philosophy

The Messy Middle.

You don't grow in comfort. You grow in chaos.

Nobody wakes up with clarity. There's always a tunnel before there's light. The mess isn't a problem to be managed. It's where everything actually happens.

The wins. The resets. The learnings. All of it, unfiltered, before it's neat, before it behaves.

It gets messier before it gets clean. And if it doesn't get messy, you probably haven't gone deep enough.

The mentorship web

Nobody goes through it alone.

GenZ builds with millennial leadership. Millennial leadership learns from boomer mentors.

Three generations. One thread running through all of it.

The conversations that change people don't happen in meetings. They happen because the door is always, genuinely open.

08 / 24

Real people. Real arcs.

There is no job description here. People find out who they are, and what they're actually good at, by evolving into it.

Ocean

Walked in at 15 as an Instagram intern with no title to hide behind. Nobody handed her a career path; she built one, one campaign at a time, until she was running Creator Relations & Talent Management. Then she saw a gap nobody had named yet and simply started filling it: Mayramid, now The Hubverse's own talent management vertical, hers to pitch, negotiate, and sign.

Richa

Came in as the Design Intern. Nobody told her design was supposed to stop at the screen. She decided it didn't, and turned a design mind into a way of building communities. Giving Collab now runs itself because she rebuilt it that way. The website too. Today she's Chief Community Officer, still finding new things to redesign.

Mukesh

Had an MBA sitting there, ready, safe, expected. Looked at it, looked at what he was already building at The Hub, and chose the harder, less certain thing, because it was actually his.

Ashes

Understood what The Hub was before he'd even joined it, and instead of waiting for a role to open up, he built the case for one. That pitch became Hub Konnect. It also became his seat as Co-Builder. He's on his way to COO now, still pitching, still building.

Real people. Real arcs. (contd.)

Mannan

Ten-plus years in, and he's never once waited to be told what to own. He kept moving toward whatever needed a steady hand, until Hub Co-Living was simply his, without anyone announcing it. That's what happens when you grow by doing, not by asking.

Puran Singh

Ten-plus years of caring for our people and our pups like they were his own to protect. Covid-19 didn't come with an instruction manual, so he wrote his own, showed up anyway, and kept the community safe when nobody could tell him exactly how. That's agency you can't train for.

Habib

Five-plus years in, and he's never been just one thing. Knows every inch of this building, picks up a camera when the team needs footage, shows up 100% reliable whether it's day or night. Nobody assigned him range. He built it himself, one need at a time. Steady, and shaping up to be a true leader.

Rohit Agarwala.

In a landscape where news gets sensationalised for entertainment, Rohit made it his mission to deliver accurate socio-economic insight to his community.

He entered the ecosystem to build Barely Opinionated, now Fully Opinionated, and grew it with his community, from 30K engagement to 300M engagement.

What building here actually produces

Turns out “culture” wasn't just a buzzword after all.

Retention

33% higher

Retention here beats the average agency by 33%. People don't stay because they're stuck. They stay because they're building something worth staying for.

Growth velocity

Every 3 months

Roles evolve on a 90-day clock here, not an annual review cycle, a pace most of the market would call abnormal. Every builder also gets to dabble across at least 3 roles, learning wholistically instead of specializing too early.

Collective revenue

$1M+

Over a million dollars in collective revenue generated by builders across ventures born inside The Hub. Not from a growth playbook. From people who cared enough to build one.

None of this was engineered. It's just what happens when culture is the foundation, not an afterthought.

12 / 24

Why we reward the way we do

3.8x growth in 12 months

Recognition compounds culture.

Every quarter, without exception, rewards go to every Hubber who went above and beyond, not annually, but quarterly. Tight feedback loops change how people show up.

₹3.05L ₹3.14L ₹6.21L ₹10.22L ₹11.75L SEP 2024 DEC 2024 MAR 2025 JUN 2025 SEP 2025
NEXT: ESOPs — the next rung in the ladder
Sept 2025 – Present. We've outgrown cash rewards. Now we're building ownership, because Hubbers who built this deserve to hold a piece of it.
13 / 24

The philosophy

Individual and collective.

Not one or the other. Both, at the same time.

The truest form of a person, and how they cultivate that into everything they build. That tension is where the real building happens.

14 / 24

The overflow

A community driven to giving & spreading positivity.

"The point of having is giving."

Giving Collab gave creators ₹5,000 each, not to spend on themselves, but to change a life. Creators for a Cause turned that into a movement: 36 pledges at the NAS Summit, 10 lives, 100 days. The cameras didn't just document it. They told the story of it.

Nihal Nair. Jinal Modi. Shanky Singh. Rayhaan Shaik.

When culture works, the giving becomes self-propagating.

15 / 24

What belonging produces

Vikram and Dharna.

Agil and Divya.

Rahul and Kalpita.

10+ couples have met here.

Some are still building side by side. Some have gone on to get married.

The relationships weren't a byproduct of the culture. They were proof of it.

Graduation + life after

What we celebrate, and how.

When it's time to move on, it's marked with ceremony. Current Hubbers. Ex-Hubbers. Achievements showcased. A room full of people who built something together.

What happens after says more than any reference letter could: people stay connected to this ecosystem, and to each other, long after they've left the building.

Nobody leaves empty-handed. And nobody leaves for good.

17 / 24

People leave. They also come back.

Open door. No access control. True open source building.

Agil Divya Ocean Vikram Nida Aditya Kiirthana Musab Kiran Aishwarya Dakshata Danish Jeff Nayonika

They left to become. Then they came back, with everything they'd gathered on the other side. The return is not repetition. It's a different conversation at a higher level.

18 / 24

The gravity

95%

of Hub graduates still meet at least two others from the ecosystem every month, two years after graduating.

Not because it's mandated. Because what they built here was real.

Hub Konnect. 338 builders.

Vetted by a decade of knowing who is real. Not a job board. A trust network.

19 / 24

What people leave with

Hub Certified.

A builder who can creatively think and figure out anything life throws at them.

More valuable than any Indian college degree.

Three skills everyone here develops:

Sell

The ability to move people toward an idea.

Storytell

The ability to make an idea legible.

Connect

The ability to find the right people.

Build

The ability to make something from nothing.

Not taught. Absorbed. Through the daily rhythm of building something real alongside real people.

20 / 24

How it scales

Built so the giving never depends on one person.

DCAN

A network ring so the support is distributed, not funnelled through one person.

AI Subscription Fund

Every builder has access to every tool they need to stay relevant.

Smile Fund

Care as a budget line. Not a gesture.

Talent as Service

India's best brands and founders trust The Hub to build their hiring funnels.

The giving flows through the system. Independently of any single source.

21 / 24

Ten years. One belief.

Every person who walks in is carrying a version of themselves the world trained them to hide.

The work has always been the same: create the conditions where the real version can emerge.

Through time. Through honest feedback. Through belonging before accountability. Through three generations holding the space. Through a door that never closes.

This is what culture looks like when it's actually working.
