Night School is a recurring workshop format designed for builders who can't commit full-time to a program but still want regular, structured skill-building. It runs in the evening — typically 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM — following a fixed arc: icebreaker, build session, demo or ship. It is hands-on by design, not lecture-based.
Most serious side-project builders are employed or studying during the day. Evenings are the only consistent slot where building is possible without a career trade-off. Night School meets builders where they are — not where an ideal schedule would put them.
Night School is structured around doing, not listening. The icebreaker gets people out of their heads. The build session applies a concept or tool directly to a real problem. The demo or ship at the end creates a small but real output every session. Three hours of structured, applied work compounds significantly over months.
Some Night School formats include a Golden Ticket tier — a premium option that includes a one-on-one session with the facilitator after the main event. This turns a group workshop into a partially personalised experience, useful for builders who want direct feedback on their specific project.

Hackathons are one-off, high-intensity events. Night School is recurring, lower-stakes, and focused on applying specific concepts to your own project. It's designed for sustained skill-building, not competitive sprints.
